Pricing & Features

At Pixel Canopy, we do our best to keep pricing predictable, transparent, and fair. There are three components that make up the full cost of owning a Pixel Canopy site. This page breaks down each of these costs so you can be confident that you're choosing the right options for your business and budget.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, please contact us. We'd love to hear from you!

1. Customizing Your Site

The Customization Fee is a one-time cost for us to customize your chosen template. The amount depends on how much and what kind of work you want done to the site. Obviously, the fewer changes we make to the template the less expensive it will be. However, some changes are quick and easy to implement, while others take some effort. Here is a comparison of the relative costs of different customizations.

2. Choosing a Hosting Plan

The hosting fee is a recurring fee that is priced by the month. Hosting fees cover the costs of keeping your site up and available. This includes things like server maintenance, file storage, and bandwidth usage.

When you get a site, you may buy as little as 1 month or up to 3 years of hosting at a time. Hosting fees start as soon as your site is live.

There are three hosting plans to choose from: Basic, Plus, and ECommerce. For a list of what features are available from each plan, check out the comparison table on the home page.

3. Getting a Domain

A site's domain is synonomous with its web address. In order for you to own a domain, you have to pay for domain name registration, which is filed with the regulatory agency ICANN. There is a whole market around purchasing domain names. Some have no purchasing fee while others may cost tens of thousands of dollars. Renewal fees are generally around five to twenty dollars per year.

Pixel Canopy will purchase and set up your domain name on your behalf, which means you own it, we just manage it. Let us know what domain you're looking for. If it's available and fits within your budget, we'll pass the cost of registration through to you with 0% markup.
